Behaviour Management

I have seen many different reward systems in order to praise desired behaviour. Every teacher has his/her own way of rewarding their students: From using Class Dojo to earn points, or class money to buy small prizes. Although I am unsure of what reward system I will use in my classroom, I believe that behaviour management starts before the rewards. First, I would instil a positive environment from the first day of class, where rules would be clear and, if possible, written by the students. Misbehaviour should be addressed and delt with promptly. Students should feel as if you are close to them at all times, so that they know that they have support when they need it.
